Terms
and Conditions
PRICES: Prices are effective January
1, 2009 and are subject to change without notice.
RESERVATIONS: Equipment may be reserved
by telephone for any future date. If you require equipment
on the same day you call, please phone early to allow our
staff sufficient time to prepare your order.
RESPONSIBILITY: Inspection and testing of
all rental equipment is available at our location. We encourage
you to take advantage of this courtesy. Musson Theatrical
does not guarantee, assume responsibility, or make representations
of the performance of said equipment. A Musson representative
is on call 24 hours a day. If you require assistance outside
normal business hours, every reasonable effort will be made
to correct the malfunction.
RENTAL PERIODS AND RATES: The minimum rental
period is two days. Equipment is due back at noon
on the specified return date. Equipment not returned to our
location by noon on the specified date will be charged for
that day at the two day rate. Each additional day that the
equipment is late will be charged at the two date rate for
each overdue item.
PAYMENT: All rentals must be paid in full
at time of the issue unless a customer credit account has
been established and is in good standing. Rentals may be paid
with cash Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
Preprinted checks will be accepted upon presentation of a
valid California drivers license and subject to bank approval.
DEPOSITS: A deposit is required on all rentals.
Deposits must be paid at the time of equipment issue. Deposits
must be paid in Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
Checks or cash will not be accepted for deposits. A $50.00
deposit will be required on all rental amounts from $0.00
to $25.00. A $100.00 deposit will be required on all rental
amounts from $25.00 to $100.00. Deposits on larger orders
will be individually determined. A certificate of insurance
may be required on all rentals.
SPARE LAMPS: Musson Theatrical will provide
a reasonable amount of spare lamps for rental fixtures. All
spare lamps must be returned including all burned out lamps.
You will be charged for any loss of lamps regardless of condition.
LOSS OR DAMAGE: Any loss or damage to rental
equipment must be paid at time of equipment return. Credit
for subsequent return of paid shortages will be made at our
discretion.
DELIVERY AND PICKUP: Equipment is rented on a pick-up and return basis from our business location. Musson Theatrical can provide delivery and pickup services for an additional charge. Please arrange delivery far enough in advance to allow for scheduling. Delivery charges must be paid prior to the delivery. The price for delivery and pickup assumes that we send one driver with the truck of equipment. Our driver will then get up in the truck and hand equipment off to your crew on site. If the delivery contains road boxes or platforms, you’ll need to have at least two strong people. The 4’ x 8’ platforms weigh about 120 pounds each. Most road cases are on wheels, but can weigh several hundred pounds and are unsafe for one person to unload or load. The same applies to the pickup – there must be two people on site to hand the equipment into the truck to our driver. If you decide to go ahead with delivery and pickup, let us know what time we should plan to arrive on each day to meet your crew. If necessary, we can send additional people to unload and load at $75 per hour per person (assuming straight-time labor). We can provide labor for setup and removal of equipment if you need it. On straight time (Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5:30), our labor rate is $75 per hour per person. On overtime (evenings and weekends) our labor rate is $112.50 per hour. Between midnight and 6:00am, double time labor would apply.
SALES TAX: California sales tax will be
added to all in-state rentals unless a California resale permit
is on file.
EARLY RETURN POLICY: Musson Theatrical does
not give refunds or credit for early return of rental equipment.
We suggest that you review your equipment list and rental
dates carefully before signing the rental agreement.
