This is a solid black sheet of "gel" which allows no light to come through. Some of its uses include adding to your scroller gel string (allows instant blackout), or you can have some fun and play jokes on your fellow co-workers (substituting this for say Congo Blue).
We've had these SSTV lighting filters for well over a decade. While no longer manufactured, they are still in good shape and a great option for productions on a budget.
