  • Sept. 15th — Lead time on shipping Eos Programming Wing is estimated at 16 weeks *  once the factory is given an order (which will also secure your place in line).

The primary cause of this longer than normal lead time is a critical "brain" chip which interfaces the circuit board to other devices.  When ETC noticed supply issues earlier this year, they tested similar chips as a drop-in replacement (no success), and started a redesign process on moving to an entirely new chip.  Despite shipping consoles at near-2019 levels, supply of the old "brain" chip continues to outstrip demand, which in turn has increased lead times.
  • * Due to the rapidly changing situation, lead time can change within hours of an update.  Sometimes it can be extended due to supply chain issues like delayed/missing packages of critical parts.
  • The good news is ETC has secured an ample supply of the new "brain" chips, so once the redesign is complete they can build at scale.  Despite the different chip, it does not affect product functionality or quality.

Spread your programming Wing!  When the fast-paced production world calls for hands-on control, the Eos Programming Wing provides a portable home-base for the programmer on the move.  The wing uses the familiar Gio and Gio @5 keyboard layout, so you can get to work immediately – no need to hunt for keys.  With the Programming Wing, you get the freedom of mobile programming without missing out on control features.  Each wing includes playback controls, four parameter encoders, level and rate controls as well as DMX512-A/RDM and MIDI In/Out outputs.  It is compact enough move from room to room in a venue or to take on the road with the included ETCnomad.
